Technotarded

There are just too damn many gadgets, widgets, add-ons, and applications on the web! I've got Twitter & Twhirl, MSN & AIM, Yahoo & ICQ. Not to mention the FIVE emails, two Myspaces, two Websites, a Forum, a Facebook, and now a freakin BLOG that I am supposed to update on some kind of regular basis. AAAAARRGGGHHH!

An old friend asked me to chat yesterday. I felt like a teenager. A slightly slow, pimpled, dumpy teenager who types with one finger and can't figure out how to upload pictures, music, or any other cool stuff, but a teenager nonetheless. There's something a little secretive and underhanded about "chatting". I found myself looking over my shoulder to make sure the kids weren't reading what I wrote. The stupid thing about it is that I was chatting with a woman and all was completely innocent and banal. There's just something about chatting that feels a little sneaky to me, guess. I like regular old email. Tippity tappity tippity tappity send.
